I posted the rest of the puppy photos at http://konalabradors.com. The smallest guy is "chocolate boy #3" named Lil Pup.He is gaining weight, but also looks a but different from the rest. It will be interesting to see how he develops by 8 weeks.
I posted the ad for the puppies and got my 1st call the next day. No deposits yet, but that should change soon. One or two of the pups have started the "puppy howl" and I hear lots of little yelps as they start to chew on each other. Mom is still nursing then, but in a standing position. I am sure that is because of their little nails that poke into her and she won't get thet if they have to stand. Lil Pup still has to be nursed by himself as he is a bit too short to reach a standing mom.
They are 5 weeks old tomorrow. How quickly they grow. They'll be off to new homes in 3 weeks I hope.

Chocolate male #3 looks very studious. There's something going on behind those eyes.

That male is pretty small compared to the rest. When he eats, his belly extends so far I'm afraid for him. Still, he has to eat to try to catch up. It is a delicate balancing act for me. He gets to nurse by himself and seems happy.
I am having to sit the puppies in a chair or on the bed and try to get them to stand still for 10 seconds to take photos. It has not been easy and next week I will have help to take "official" portraits. At this point, I just wanted to show prospective buyers an idea of what they look like. The 1st call I got about the puppies is from a woman who wants a dog for dog shows. I'll have to leave it up to her about what criteria she needs for that. What we think is cute is not the criteria a dog show judge uses :-)
